Guangzhou /canton history
Guangzhou, Canton referred to as Guanghe Sui, also known as Yangcheng, is the capital of Guangdong Province. Guangzhou officially established a city in 1921, creating a Chinese municipal system, and now a sub-provincial city. Guangzhou is the economic, cultural, technological, and educational center and transportation hub of the national central city and southern China. It is also the location of the 2010 Asian Games of the People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Joint Operations Command in Guangzhou.
Guangzhou has a history of more than 2,200 years. The ancient Guangzhou water network is densely covered, and the water city has a long history in Venice.
